Religions concepts?!? Please discuss?

I always wondered with Christianity; why does it seem like the whole religion is based on a guilt system? You have a list of sins,that you can't do.if you do them,you go to hell..which is a terribly bad place that all should hate apparently,and to be saved for being born with "sin" you must be christian,or go to hell...if you are anything else,ou burn in hell...and aren't all Christians supposed to love and care? I know people that are afraid to live life because of this...I say you only have one life,spend it as much as you want...it just seems it is all a guilt paradox to scare people...plus,didn't someone(no names..;) try to drown all his people because they didn't follow one person? Im not trying to induce hate,but it just seems really...what's the nice word for it.....well still...it seems to be built to make fear,and then peoples only excuse is Jesus loves you and only wants you to be happy!(for something I was born with apparently)...don't even get me started on the hate...just asking,why?
