Let the gl cool. Then taking a safety razor clean it off. Shine it up with a paper towel and vinegar. If the stain is still there make a paste with baking soda and vinegar and brush it on let dry and scrub. You do not want to scratch the gl with anything more abrasive. The last option is to get ash and rub that in the gl. Cigarette ash or fireplace ash will work well.
