Human electromagnetic shield question answer please?

We have an electromagnetic shield around us keeping us safe.My friend has a teaser gun(a tube battery with a on,when pushed it releases small electricity to use on self-defense or offense),he did not shock me but just around the room,and when i saw and heard electricity,i felt hols on my electromagnetic shield and i felt ting lings all over my body.In case of major electromagnetic shield damage,what are the effects on my body?Thank you!
